Thank you officedweller!

I still have my reservations about incorporating the bronze. Maybe it's just the rendering but right off the bat I don't really see it translating well. I would almost prefer a copper finish (with a deeper pigment) that would slowly oxidize. But that's just me trying to compromise with this awful little brown .

Yeah, that brown colour goes against the grain for me, too. As you say, a copper oxidized finish would be way better ... IMHO.

The new design looks very budget and generic. Not worthy of the height this will have. Street level will be greatly improved at least.

Given the imminent demolition of the roller-rink, how quickly do you think the excavation might start?

What happened? That original design looked so much better than the generic brown tower we're getting thrown now.

Even though the updated design doesn't look too great, at least this one looks to break ground soon. Contrast that with the Holland Parkside site which has basically sat empty for the past 12 years.

I'm guessing it depends on how fast they can make a sales center and sell the units

I'm going to estimate it starting no sooner than early next year. The COSMOS development inquiry still shows most of the behind the scenes approvals as in the early stages.

Yea this'll probably start after Parkside. They're almost through all the approvals.

Typically it takes about a year after a project first appears at Council until final approval. They start the detailed design after 3rd Reading.

So final approval maybe by end of 2021.

After final approval it's usually a year for marketing, but hard to say how that would affect this project, since it's mostly not market housing.

Not sure if all the renderings have already been posted here so I'm linking this article below.
