Exactly. it's about providing options and opportunity.
Right now in Regina, like many Canadian cities, we rely on the private automobile for the most basic of tasks (i.e. going to the convenience store). The private automobile, has its place, just as does transit, walking, cycling - but we don't invest in these forms the same way we do to support car based travel. So we've created a city that demands you drive for even the most basic tasks - "If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail"
Also for the other poster - my experience here goes well beyond just posting on the internet...... (plus I'm not that young anymore).
