Okay, this gets me a little excited. I don't drive so I've often imagined the view that one gets of Vancouver House as you drive north over the Granville Bridge.

As you have mention before mcminsen, this structure is a chameleon.
Today it was a the dark grey, almost blue and the sun reflecting off the bronze cladding...Lucky to have captured it at that moment (11:20am).

Yes, there are permanent walkways from both the east and west sidewalks of the bridge to the adjacent buildings giving access down to Pacific (or vice versa).

C3YVR mentioned that the west one was open but when I was last there (a couple weeks ago) the east one wasn't open yet.

The bridge connection will likely be limited for now. The University is using the external stairs to promote access between floors, and with covid they may want to reduce the amount of people. The tower looks great throughout the day, whenever I see it depending on the time or the weather, it always looks different.

Google Earth has updated its 3D buildings in many cities including Vancouver, which now features Vancouver House in a complete state.

I wonder what the large bulkhead in the living room is for? (maybe the complex structure didn't allow ducting in the slab?)

The camera lens has narrowed the master bedroom or it's really narrow (and oddly offset from the windows)

Funky outlets in the bathrooms.
Couldn't see others in the other rooms.
I think the kitchen outlets are in the underside of the upper cabinets (making it hard to hide cords)?

I think you just need a licence - They may have hired a commercial drone operator.

Yeah. As far as I know, you need to check in, and get cleared to fly in that airspace. Lots of people still fly without permission though, usually in the early morning.

I run a small drone business, and in order to fly downtown, there are some STRICT guidelines to follow. Firstly operators must have an 'Advanced Operations' license under Transport Canadas RPAS guidelines. Second operators must file a flight approval request with Transport Canada if you fly in class C, D, and E airspace.

The area where this person is flying is Class C, SFC to 2500 ft as well as intersects with the Vancouver General Heliport. Alongside these requirements, the operator must be in contact with ATC at ALL times during the flight. I sincerely hope they went through the legal requirements.
