Was there 3 weeks ago. its a definite go back to place. Even with the covid precautions its still quite the meal.

They are top notch and the food is very good. Tis a bit of shame to not have had an elevated patio or something indoor/outdoor their to take advantage of the view/valley, but I hope this place stays around. Sadly, that location is very tricky and you must be a destination spot (which they are).

The https://waybackburgers.com signs went up on Jasper and 104st in Cecil Place yesterday or the day before, so it should be opening very soon.

I can't remember, but was there a restaurant in that space before Butternut or was it office?

https://onlyhereforthefood.ca/2020/10/19/food-notes-for-october-19-2020/

Back in March, Downtown Dining Week was cut short due to the pandemic. The Downtown Business Association is relaunching the showcase from October 28 – November 8, 2020 to “reignite hope in Downtown’s hospitality scene.” The 26 participating restaurants are offering fixed price menus of $20 lunch/brunch and $35 or $50 dinners.

Notice the signs coming down at the highrun club in capilano. Two+ decades of terrible food bad service and it was Covid that did them in.

I recall seeing 3 or 4 new restaurants slated to go into the Ice District:

- A barbecue restaurant (from a restaurant group from Toronto)
- A Mexican restaurant (from the same restaurant group as above)
- Dirty Belly

Does anyone know where exactly these are slated to go? And when they might be opened?

There was a food court that was supposed to open in the Stantec Tower but with COVID I have no idea where this is at now.

The floor that the food court was to be on does not look like much work is on going.

Dalla Tavola Zenari should be opening soon in the Enbridge tower. I assume COVID delayed things here.

I'm guessing a rethink or scaling back (even further) of the v2.0 concept.

I haven't seen much work going on there of late, but am hoping that it is simply moving a little slower due to everything. The plans/layout/offerings will be fantastic.

A week into it and Bistro 99 in the Omega (99/105st) is delicious. While somewhat limited, the food is fresh, real and delicious.

I am going to gain another COVID 20 from their dessert offerings.

Not sure that part of the community needs any more jet fuel.

^The liquor store that was there moved to the west end this spring. I'm guessing it's something to replace it.
