This whole city was designed for summer with no thoughts to the winter.

Agree...kinda unreal really. 2 bus shelters at a LRT stop is a complete miss.

I am guessing that they didn't want it to be too comfortable to encourage folks to congregate there for other reasons.

Why? People depend on transit, I used to. The non-winterproof design of South Campus is awful compared to more robust stations like Century Park (which is still not great for waiting in, but at least warm). The number of times i stood freezing at south campus waiting for delayed trains was awful. If our trains were at 3 minute frequencies all the time, then i would agree, no need for large stations. But when you are caught waiting 15 minutes at times (or longer) the stations need to be winterproof.

Even century park bus station is completely inadequate in size for the amount of people and length of winter we have here.

Edmonton gets winter. Edmonton gets cold winters. Our infrastructure should reflect that and our transit system should be designed for everyone and for everyday, not just for leisure use.

Now, unless this is the ONLY stop that's different from the others, I'll be surprised and from what I've seen just yesterday at the Bonnie Doon stop, all of the stops will have fully enclosed and heated shelters, just like the MacEwan stop on Metro Line.
I believe this image is just a very poor schematic of the stop to show where things should be, or it's an early design.
It's unlikely that they'll have a single stop so different from the others.

It looks to continue/share the basic stop infra and look, but is the most unique stop/location of the line.

There's an open house for the Cloverdale section of the valley line on the 28th so we may learn of some updates then.

Unless something changed, it has the exact same infrastructure as every other stop north of Argyll on the line which, unless things changed (but they have already put up some decent sized structures at all the stops between Bonnie Doon and Strathearn), should include enclosed shelter and heat.

I haven't seen this posted yet (apologies if I missed it), but ETS has set April 25 as the changeover date to the new bus routes.

They've also updated a map which shows stop-by-stop changes coming when the changeover happens.
