Apple Maps has updated satellite imagery showing some of the ring road under construction. The 3D view they offer is also really good.

Ceremony was at noon and was live-streamed and shown live on the noon-hour news. I don't know when they will get all the barriers down and open the road.

Yep. Visited Costco and then headed north on Tsuu'tina Trail. Smooth and fast ride from Anderson to Glenmore. Have to get used to the signs, directions and which lane to be in at the exits.

Did they move the time because a day or two ago one of the media outlets siad it was going to be at 3PM. Should have been in the morning to get it over with.

That doesn't sound good in terms of which lane to be in. That should be obvious if the road was properly designed and signed.

Tsuu Tina Trail becomes 80km/h at the Glenmore interchange, and the Anderson Road interchange has one flaw: right at the exit from TsuuTina Trail south to Anderson Road east, there is a sudden exit to Tsuu Tina north that you have to quickly avoid.

I took a drive down the entire stretch around noon today. Road is beautiful but some of the signage definitely needs to be improved. The 80 km/h zone had better not be permanent--accidents waiting to happen. Absolutely no need for the speed to drop. Also, what was the purpose of building high speed ramps if you're going to sign them so low? Again, accidents and deaths waiting to happen.

I will give the province a ton of credit for future proofing the road and corridor. Love the size just wish they and especially the car-hating City would realize that Calgary is a big city that requires fast free-flowing roads.

I have taken this exit a few times and don’t know what you are talking about. Do you mean after you have looped around and underneath the overpasses or Tsuu Tina Trail?

Can you clarify what you're talking about here? I think I know what you're talking about, and you have to actively veer your car to the right to enter that lane to exit. You can stay in your lane, do nothing and you've successfully avoided the EB-NB loop ramp.

That's literally all the team was asking for, and all I asked for... as opposed to the team asking the forum for them to be taken down. And yet I have "ruined the forum and driven away the best contributor."

If he doesn't want to post the images with a simple credit and chooses some other board that's unfortunate, but you're all more than welcome to view the updates at their source on https://westringroad.ca/

Mykie's correct. If you're going to post pics on the forum here they need to be credited properly or they'll be removed.

As a side note. Suburb's account has been closed due to trolling.

Is what comes up when you make a post here. People are putting in work on these updates with no credit. That's all.

What happened to my post from last night pointing out that the email updates being sent out for the West leg are not sourced and give no indication who's behind the info nor where it's coming from? Since we've already wasted a ton of time on this issue let's resolve it and not assign blame to me because I'm not accepting it. The info I was posting was coming from emails NOT the website and that was clearly stated. This is key. Do I need to start a new thread to deal with how to correctly cite and reference content? If Mykie and his "team" want to be anal about this then let's play.

Thanks for banning Suburbia once again even though I'm sure he'll be back minus a couple more letters. lol

Content is not exempt from copyright and attribution rules because it originates in emails. The very rules of this forum which you continue to ignore do not make an exception in that circumstance.

Further, what I requested is stated as "not adequate" attribution per the forum rules, so I feel it wasn't some absurd request. You're welcome to make a thread about emailed images being exempt from copyright, but you'll likely lose.

And who is this "team" you claim to represent? Maybe you should be more forthcoming instead of talking down to everyone.

The moderator above already stated it was a violation of the rules, maybe address your further inquiries to him if you feel I have done something wrong.

How about answering my questions instead of beating a dead horse? Why are you not giving credit to the sources you're using in the emails? Why is there no indication who's putting these updates together and who "owns" the rights to them? Until you get your own house in order concerning citing and referencing you need to stop telling others what to do. The emails you send out ALWAYS end up in my junk mail because they come across as being suspicious. If I hadn't signed up for them I would never open them. You keep mentioning copyright yet there's never any mention of copyright in the emails.

One last point, where did I say emailed images are exempt from copyright?
