Speaking of Dewdney, I would love the Railyard area redevelopment to have design guidelines regarding brick to match the warehouse district - like how the new builds in Canterbury have been done.

I'm sort of in the same boat tbh. If we could feasibly get a smaller version of Shaw Park in Winnipeg with minimal surface level parking, I wouldn't hate it.

Driving down south Albert Street today, I noticed that they've repainted the lines...including the parking/turning lanes. So now it will be legal to drive in all three lanes on Albert south?

Are you actually surprised a parking lot is going up? That site owes the city money and no one is building anything big in this economic climate.

Sure. But having unreasonable expectations isn't helpful, either.

It sounds like you'd rather that the lot sit empty for awhile and that it cost taxpayers money, instead of generating at least some cash flow and productivity. No one really wants a parking lot at Albert and Vic, but what we have is what we have, and I don't see how a vacant lot is a better solution.

Let it be parking for awhile. When the economy picks up, market the hell out of the lot and get something built.

Well in this case money is superseding public expectations. Money supersedes most things in our world.

It's the same nonsense game that everyone is playing. Everything about this is about a permanent parking lot. The economy isn't going to improve for years upon years. Hell, the sale will probably fall apart too and the city won't get any money.

- the Wascana Park Waterpark Construction start?
- Cooperators new head office on Albert Street
- Sobey’s Liquor on 13th Avenue
- Globe Theatre is currently vacating their building by end of year so I am guessing early 2021 construction and gutting of the building will begin.
- Some seasonal retailers will be moving into the Cornwall Centre this holiday season BUT I truly hope they are actively pursuing Goodlife Fitness, Planet Fitness, Winners/Homesense, and possibly a grocery store chain.

Sobey's Liquor continues along quite slowly. I've seen some workers out there this week, but doesn't look like they've done much after demolition.

Cooperators head office is on Albert between Vic and 12th correct? Plenty of work being conducted, they have the sidewalk on the West side of Albert closed as they continue work outside.

Other things of note:
Demolition has fully completed on the mixed use project at the NW corner of 13th and Elphinstone. Looks like they've begun to dig out to the footprint for the building, not sure if they'll start foundations and framing any time soon.

Massive work being conducted on the SaskPower building. Looks like they have scaffolding up on the backside of the building. Anyone have details on what specifically they are working on?
