What have developers come to when they're naming condo projects after gas stations?

It's Spanish for treasure. Bold choice for a gas station name.

Well, buried treasure kind of makes sense for an oil company, but what is Concert trying to tell us about the cost of the parking spaces?

It's in the penthouse of the Navio North building. They refitted and rebuilt the whole suite to be representative of Tesoro.

It's actually Italian for treasure. Voda and Navio, together with Tesoro make up "The Creek", each of Voda, Navio and Tesoro mean something in Italian... I forgot what they said.

Curious what W2 rentals will be going for once it has finished. The market has been changing dramatically during construction.

I cant believe how much residential rental prices have come down in Vancouver.

Its probably the most shocking of the market corrections around here.

Funny, I haven't heard any lessening of complaints from renters.

It's still a pricey market compared to the average person's earnings, thus the justified complaints. It's less ridiculous than it was pre-COVID though.

That's a common theme though, most people don't know what winning looks like.

Well I think at the minimum you'd get maybe $2,300 for a 1-bed.

Because there is a strong supply of new housing? Or is it a temporary covid market?

AirBnB converted to long-term rentals without foreign tourists here, a huge drop in foreign students and foreign workers competing for city centre rentals, young people losing jobs moving back to live with their folks for austerity reasons, investors trying to avoid the vacancy taxes, speculators unwilling to sell their units due deflated housing prices (although not by much) and thus holding on to properties, etc.

All these factors help contribute to more units available out there and thus easing up the rental market.

I will note that new "park" or whatever has become yet another defacto offleash dog park, despite not being allowed. Regardless it's better than being fenced up.

seriously. Hinge Park over by Columbia has so many off leash dogs despite there being an off-leash dog park just steps away. There is no enforcement nor any abiding by general rules

Yeah, better city and mountain views than Strathcona, accessibility to Community Centre and Mc Donald's washrooms, as well as skytrain and other transit connections to get to places, easy access to DTES for drug supplies, availability of sympathetic local residents, etc. So why not? This is indeed the perfect place for the homeless to be parked!
