What do you mean by "public use"?

And the same thing is happening at about 1st Ave and Thornton by Red Truck for Brewery Creek. They are exposing a section for bio-retention and rainwater management from 1st to the railway property. For currently underneath is a storm main. Most of these are from the 60's uphill but I think the Creek's original pipe is still there in sections from 1909. There is another "blueway" I think along St George Street, where another creek used to be.

Again, agree that these are not the original creek locations but are being used to mitigate the fact that this section of False Creek was filled in and address rainwater and ecological issues / degradation.

I'm not even sure if that's possible, though it'd be nice if it could.

Page 89 of this document shows the city owned lots:

They were doing that international design competition for 1.5 acres of the Innovation Hub (before they withdrew it last year) with a 99 year lease.

There's even a ditch at the north end of that RoW leading to Industrial Ave.

They go into land owned by CN, (even the Industrial Ave one) so...

It should be feasible to get a blueway all the way to False Creek, the issue is that CN may not be kind enough to allow Vancouver to build on its unused lands. So the 'streams' just go into...nothing.

I might not be 100% on this as the plans too are very "conceptual", but last I heard (read?) working on something nearby was the City (either the Midas or Kal Tire or both locations) there is some kind of plaza idea and social/student/artist housing, Lorne St and Central are both extended with public plaza / park space. I recall the more subsidized elements of the innovation core area is more arts and culture. Haven't heard too much about artist housing, for example, in that area, but I very sure it's not off the books, as 1st and 2 ave, if I recall are the housing focused area.

I have not heard there will be no public uses, however.

For instance, I have not heard of the City ditching the Arts Factory.

"Provide and support artistic and cultural endeavors, affordable housing and childcare on City-owned land." Imaging they'd hook up to the Neighbourhood Energy System in OV or their own.

Remembered a friend did a site analysis here for childcare and seniors housing. Totally forgot. But I imagine with the City's "Culture Plan" it might be a heavier focus on artist / student.

Tesoro - False Creek

The largest unit in Tesoro is 6153 SF! Wonder how much they will list this property for.

They are running at $1500/sf right? I can see $2500/sf for this one, though at that size it might be custom for a developer friend.

Saw cars parked at Tesoros today. Is concert finally making moves? Also saw a film crew around the area but unsure if related.

Some pricing and unit sizes came out, to realtors only I think.

They are also finally building the park so that could be related.

It's a temporary park, but it's better than how it's been for years.

They started showing August 1, went with a realtor friend, probably the nicest finishing i have seen in all of OV. Also surprised to hear as of yesterday they had sold quite a few units. Personally know a few buyers who bought.
Price is high but it's got the wow factor. Presentation centre is only by appointment.

It hasn't been built yet. An earlier post said it was in Navio, the last development completed (to the south, facing the park that's getting a temporary makeover at the moment).

Yeah you can see Science World in the background of a few of the photos.
