Is it really in the works though? Last I heard they chose an option to widen the causeway when feasible, thus allowing the cycle tracks. Seems quite a big project and I'm yet to see any progress on that, could be another 10 years.
This is the causeway they need to widen (in blue). The red one is permanently closed because of structural damage.

An easy fix: All the lanes are actually really wide. Permanently thinning the lanes to the minimum should allow for cycle tracks no problemo. However also having a sidewalk will be difficult. I think a one-sided sidewalk is the permanent mode for now.

As for the snowplows, who's in charge of plowing the roads? Is it not Gatineau and Ottawa having the roads clear, with a bit of overlap at the border? Why isn't this the same for the sidewalk?

I grew up in Northern Ontario and the city would clear HWY 17 to city limits, there was a truck turnaround, and the province would clear outside of city limits.

There is a sidewalk on one side separated from the road by a concrete barrier. It's probably why they have a problem plowing it - it's narrow and you are not allowed dump the snow into the river, so you need some special plow to remove the snow.
Just checked on google maps and the roadway is 8.5m wide. Given it's a truck route it's definitely not wide enough for cycle tracks.

Hopefully it is another residential building. It will be nice to see more life in this part of town in the next 3-5 years.

A temporary drive-in theatre will be established at Zibi, in an effort to liven-up Le Vieux Hull while encouraging physical distancing. Part of the proceeds will go to the Manne de l'Île food bank. Opening date has not been announced, but the government of Quebec will allow drive-ins across the province to open on May 29.

Fun idea! Although considering that about half of all Vieux-Hull households don't own vehicles, I really hope that it won't be restricted to cars only.

They've made some significant progress over the last two years. With the completion of the office tower u/c in Ottawa, the rental tower u/c in Gatineau and those two latest proposals on Chaudière Island, the Booth-Eddy axis will be virtually done.

The Gatineau side will take longer, but that's not necessarily a bad thing because that piece of empty real-estate has been a fantastic asset over the last few years, with Cirque du Soleil, the Drive-In and many other events.
