Skyrise Cities? I've been active on it for the past year and a half and there has been zero drama and tons of construction/development chat. It's been great and very refreshing.

as near as i can tell, it's only the scotiamacleod business unit that's relocating and the two floors they're moving to is more space than they currently occupy.

this may provide some expansion for those groups remaining in scotia place even if that's simply to reconfigure to more "covid friendly" premises than their current layouts provide.

disclaimer - while the first part is reported, the second is simply my conjecture at this point.

I think you'll see quite a few companies re-examine how they use their space to encourage more 'social distancing'....even after this whole Covid business.

It's a great forum in pretty much every regard. Much respect to Dave on his moderation and the respectful members there. No issues and I don't think it'd be tolerated there. I don't mind it here either.

wonder if they are subleasing some of the Stantec floors. There wasn't much left after the initial move in. but now there should be plenty.

i haven't seen a stacking plan for a while but it was reported as net absorption (i.e. they will be occupying more space than they vacated).

i wasn't aware that stantec is or was looking to sublet some space but if it wasn't officially vacant and available for sub-lease it wouldn't have been in inventory and the scotia macloud deal wouldn't have been net absorption which is defined as taking up more vacancy than the space being moved out of.

However, it's my understanding that Ted has acquired a significant chunk of the Pendennis Hotel redevelopment (if not all of it) so hats off to him. 4 floors of sublease I believe + 2 that were never leased.

Indeed, his companies Design2the9z, Inc., RoadShowz, Inc. and Street Seenz, Inc, an architecture firm and an art gallery are taking over the entire building and looking to hire 442 staff.
