The sewer and water is completed. Now onto the foundation. The fence is being put in place. Should see things move forward
quickly on the foundation.

Hillsborough Hospital Master Plan

Plan contains a two storey Mental Health and Addictions Acute Care Facility, Public Social Safety and Social Housing, Social Housing/ Extended Care for
addictions recovery, Mixed Use Development with designed as urban 4-6 storey buildings with a 3-storey streetwall and Trails and Open Space.
Upon completion the old Existing Hillsborough Hospital will be demolished.
Also, Future Mixed-use Development Sites on the north side of the new road
are currently not planned for immediate development.

Pine Dr Apartments Approved by City Council

Wow, what a turn around on this project. Did everyone in the neighbourhood fall asleep or did they come to their senses
and realize their neighbourhood isn't special over everyone elses and can"t be a barrier to anything new. We need people to
be inclusive and acceptable to new people in all areas in the city.

I’ve been laughing about this since the news broke Monday evening. The NIMBY crew won back when the proposal was for 27 units, and now the building is approved for 41 units. This should put all NIMBYs on notice that perhaps they need to adjust their expectations.

That is exactly what IRAC is, a useless delay tactic. A delay tactic

I think IRAC has a place and a function, but it has been used quite a bit by people trying to delay projects. I’d never want the appeal process to be removed or high application/deposit fees (income should not limit a person’s ability to watch out for their neighbourhood).

I’m not sure what the solution should be, but starting with a full review would be a good start. It must be nearly 20 years now since IRAC was established.

It’s being extended right to the sidewalk. When they originally built it, they left an area on Kent Street as green space, but could have been sold and used for commercial development.

There’s a building in Stratford where Home Hardware used to be that’s called Kinlock Crossing I believe. There about 3 major spaces in there, 1 is occupied by Off the Wallz trampoline park and the other, Murphy’s pharmacy. The 3rd space, and the one in the middle of the front now has a big “Leased” sign on it. So I’m wondering if anyone knows what’s going in there.

Don't know if anyone answered you yet but I heard it was Home Hardware moving back in. No lumber yard though. As a Stratford resident I'm very excited about this.

With nearly 11,000 people, I'm surprised it doesn't have more.

Kent and Superstore are badly needed imo. A Canadian tire would likely do well too. Shediac has one so I don’t know why Stratford and have one.

A similar situation exists in Dieppe and to some extent Riverview.

Stratford’s getting there slowly.
I think they still have that Price Mart on the way and there’s a new strip mall coming up soon next to shoppers. Dairy Queen’s also mentioned at a possible Stratford location before too.
