Have you received another amendment recently?
I haven't yet but Shape mentioned that the completion date will be btw May and July when I emailed them couple of days ago,
and the estimated completion date for upper levels will be sometime in July.
They told me that they are in process of filing the final strata plan with the Land Title Office.

if anyone has any recent update, can you please share?
LOL he's messing with you. Don't ask ownership related shit here, ppl don't like it. There's tons of other threads where you can ask that question.

Everytime metro does that it always gets someone LOL

PS the plaza is pretty much fully opened now, with the fencing pushed back to the start of the east and west corridors to the old mall.

Also, anyone else have a see through sliding door for their 2nd bedroom?

So weird, I guess I'll have to add curtains for some privacy?

All the more important for Shape to have onsite grocery store, the sooner the better.... because of our small fridge. What is the point of going to Costco wait for an hour to load up food for pandemic and no where to put it? With on site grocery ,as least I can shop frequently according to capacity of my fridge.

I think the fridge size is relevant. Buy a 625 sq ft 2 bedroom home, get appliances sized to match!

Ron.

I haven't bought here.. just a comment about the small size of the units matching small appliance sizes.

Holy.

Plan B1. Wow.

That second bedroom, I mean, call it a bedroom, but its really a storage den. No windows, and likely can only fit a twin and be tight at that.

Crazy!

It's that kind of BS peddled by developers that frustrates the heck out of me.

If you think this is bad, Take a look at Starling Lumina. Their Junior 2 bed room suppose to be 642 sq ft, which they charged a wopping category differential of $10000. I fell prey to that. I accept what I willingly pay. Except at walk through stage they chopped a section of 3ft x 6.5 ft from the second bedroom. Now my junior 2 bedroom(622.5 sf) is smaller than their 1 bedroom and den category(632sf). The second smaller bedroom in Starling also windowless, is now reduced to 70.75 sf..... a storage room like you said.

As long as it has a closet, you can advertise it as a bedroom. What size of mattress can you fit in there? If it can accommodate at least a twin size bed, may be able to rent it out for $700/month.

No, it does not has a closet. I suppose you can still put a mattress in it, but that would be quite tight, a bookshelf may be. No window, no closet and they market it as a bedroom and charge category differential of $10000.
But then I willingly pay for what was meant to be, if they delivered like they said, I would not complain.

That is borderline illegal, I see that they're advertising it as "Jr. Bedroom". The strata plans submission to the LTSA though, should be a one-bedroom condo.

You got that right. But then what can little guy like me do anything about it? I cannot afford a lawyer. I did go to free legal counsel. Basically they tell me unless I hire a lawyer with litigation experience, there is very little chance to recoup the loss. A lawyer with litigation experience charged $2000 right off the bet , before they even bother to look at your case. And still no assurance of winning the case. The builder contractual building variance clause very powerful to cover a lot of things including square footage variation and constuction requirement change during the course of construction. Too late for me, but I hope other people learn form my expensive mistake from being naive.

The 682sf 2 bedroom TAB floor plans posted above do not have a closet or window either.

Ron.

But then did Shape charged a category differential for their "junior 2 bedroom" category? Did they take 19.5 sf from their second bedroom on completion? I think Shape's " junior 2 bedroom" is a just a suggestion of possible uses. The fact that Starling Lumina charged an $10000 category differential seems to me there is an authentication of builder's commitment to deliver such.

Yeah, you are right very similar square footage to my condo. But then if I did not need to fork out extra $30000 to get this, I won"t be complaining. Hardly comforting, is it?
