Even as a frequent flyer for many years I for one won't be flying again any time soon (unless they come up with a vaccine
and treatment for COVID), especially overseas. Apart from the risk of infection, there's reduced service, higher prices, lengthy (perhaps 4 hour) check-ins, risks of last minute changes/quarantine/being stranded, wearing a mask for several hours, aircraft (and airport) sanitation (being in an enclosed space that has just been sprayed with who knows what), reduced in-flight service, carry-on limitations, financial risks (refund issues), etc etc. Perhaps I am being paranoid (or just being realistic?), but it all feels like more hassle than it's worth. I think a lot of people will feel the same as me, and the airlines know it (hence the industry forecasting a very slow return to "normal", whatever the new normal will look like). The Tower of London or the Leaning Tower of Pisa will have to wait for now.
