not much. still some under ground but that looks like the last portion. Some time after they get that section done near Churchill.

Looks like they are getting ready for another set of cables.

The Churchill surface platforms are formed and will be getting concrete this week.
Good to know. Thanks!

Pure ass-hattery on the city's part, or worse sheer stupidity. Take your pick.

I can't wait till the construction is done.
So far its pretty disaapointing, train right through the heart of our hood, taking a year longer and don't even get street lights that match the Black ones we pay an extra assessment for. No interesting hardscaping, just plain concrete and asphalt.

No, they've recently installed the traffic cuntrols lights and they are standard galvanized octagonals.

The catenary are stainless round I believe.

We have three different styles of poles, not counting the wood for the power lines within fifty feet of every intersection. Just the very COE, missing the details. And the traffic lights are EPCOR install, so I don't see how this could be a result of the procurement model.
I'm sure we won't get anything more than a moderate amount of landscaping.

This is the tightest, least commuter type corridor on the line, I don't know why but I guess for all the BS and change this is going to bring, we'd get a few hardscaping items to try and minimize the intrusion or at least pretty it up.

What neighbourhood are you in, somewhere near Bonnie Doon?

^Skytrain-esque.

Now, imagine if the Metro Line from Victoria High School to NAIT was like this...Would've been worth the extra cost, IMO.

Does anyone know what the additional cost looked like? I know hindsight is 20/20, but it would be interesting to know how much of a difference it would have been financially to have built it right the first time.

To elevate it over the roadway at Kingsway and near NAIT?

I'd bet 150-200mil.
