^ nice shot... which reminds me, one night a few months ago, I was driving down that avenue and noticed Quest blindingly lit up with green vertical LEDs.

I drive down 104 everyday and only noticed this for one night. Did anybody else catch it? It was so bright, I told one of my friends who lives in the building, that there's no way they'll keep those green LED's up permanently. Not to my surprise, it was probably a test and lasted one night.

That downtown photo: noticeable lack of parking and 104th street was very well filled out. Not to mention all those awnings along Jasper.

Big time, it added so much character and 'grandness' to 100 Avenue. Wish we had much more of those old brick apartment buildings...

Long story short, BMO cheated the Alberta Historic Resources Act to force the City into agreeing to demolition — at the time the City was actually in the process of designating it Edmonton's first Municipal Historic Resource, but would have to compensate the bank for the 'lost' value of the land; the bank came back with an extremely spurious 'lost' value that council believed, unfortunately. I've written the long story here if you're at all interested.

^Such a great shot. Tower BG will fill in the gap between Stantec and TD Tower nicely, IF it ever gets built.

The LRT bridge will look slick once it is finished. I am glad the cable-stayed option was chose.

it's hard to say what happened when but she's had a notable list to the aft starboard corner since well before the breakup started. it's almost as if the bow was being forced up as opposed to the stern dropping.

She seemed to have settled a bit this spring but this is new. Did not see this on Monday. Quite a few people over there now.

the journal is reporting the owner as saying that high water and ice pushed her on top of her mooring pilings and that's what she's hung up on.

the gang plank looks like a stairway to heaven and you can really how high up the bow is. hopefully the hull will still be found sound once it can be assessed.
