I'm guessing that the proposal is for office space above the at-grade retail? If so, it's interesting to see office space proposed at this point in the market cycle.

All those beautiful trees in front of the convention centre are coming down today. I was hoping they could have left them as part of the upgrades to the street.

Likely not. Nor is it necessary really.

Does anyone here have any more information about this Edmonton City Club? More specifically, where it's going to be? I'm guessing the old Stantec space next to Bell Tower.
https://edmontoncityclub.com/

The $2000 annual fee makes this a non-starter for me.

I was wondering where and when the old Petroleum club would pop up.

Many wobbly pops were consumed at there old kingsway location

I was talking to Teresa one of the marketing reps today in fact.

They actually don't have a physical location as of yet. But do want to be in the business district. They have their eyes on a couple locations in the business district but nothing concrete.

I guess on benefit for having the lock down is the work on Jasper Ave can go on without disruptions.

A lot of fencing has gone up , covering about half the ave.

I am almost wondering if they should just shut it down entirely... and get it done in 90 days. The last thing we need is more disruption as we come out of this...
