-1C with a wind chill of -7 and a mix of cocktails... snow, freezing rain, sleet.

I would prefer a big snowstorm without the rest but can't have it all.

Low of -4C (wind chill of -12).

The warmspot was Cumshewa Island, BC at 12.7C.

And back to off and on drizzle and rain again. Getting pretty soggy in Lotusland.

Monday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 8 C, the low was 7 C.

Got a nice dump of snow in Gatineau, about 10 cm. Finally starting to look like winter around here!

Currently -3C and partly cloudy in Moncton. Snow beginning near noontime, bringing an accumulation of about 10 cm before transitioning to showers later this evening. Temperatures peaking at around +6C near midnight.

We have had more snow in the past 7 days than any overall month from last winter (Jan/Feb/Mar). We were on track to be well below our snowfall average for the second year in a row. We're still below average, but not nearly as extreme.

Just got back last night from Grande Prairie, where I spent Christmas with family, some of them from Metro Vancouver. The weather up there's been mostly milder than average at times, and there was freezing rain one day the day after Boxing Day. Luckily, there wasn't enough to render streets and sidewalks truly slippery. I never saw any new snowfall, although there are no snow-free areas outside of roads, sidewalks and most parking lots.

As of 10:00 am, mostly cloudy and -1°C. Not too bad for New Year's Eve here in Edmonton, I guess.

I’d rather have it as snow than the heavy rainfall it’s manifesting itself in Vancouver. Raining cats and dogs.

Yes I love that it's deep snow yet relatively mild at the same time. It's beautiful walking around in it today.

It's beyond soggy in Vancouver now. I think we're coming up on almost 24 straight hours of virtually non-stop heavy rain. Even the puddles have puddles and the ducks are starting to complain. I almost didn't go out today, which would have been very unusual for me. But of course it's New Year's Eve so I had to go to the liquor store to get some bubbly.

Hopefully the forecast for tomorrow holds and we have a little sunny break for the 100th anniversary of the Vancouver Polar Bear Swim down at English Bay.

Just got home from a night time mountain bike ride. Poured the whole time . . . heavily! Warm at 7C. The ground cannot absorb any more water. Deep puddles everywhere, and several trails were mini rushing rivers of white water. It was so wet that the splash kept washing the mud off the bike, and when I finished the bike was clean. Weird. Good gear kept me dry and it was a blast!

It stopped. The rain has stopped. It was almost starting to feel like being on the set of Bladerunner, half expecting to see Rutger Hauer around the next corner sitting in a doorway.

Tuesday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 8 C, the low was 7 C (same as Monday).

Going to guess the warm spot was Victoria at 13.1.

That was essentially recorded right around midnight and with no rain in the evening probably made for the best New Year’s celebration in Canada weather wise.

+1.2 in Summerside, PE at 7am, It snowed from 4 pm to 7 pm,m maybe 5 cm. Then we had freezing rain/ ice Pellets for maybe 2 hours followed by rain. The high was 2.8 degrees about 2 am.

I just arrived in the house from cleaning the yard and the wind has turned to the west and it is cooling off to -2 or so later.

We only got about 5 cm of snow yesterday and 1 mm of rain. The "storm" ended up being a non event.

The upcoming week will be benign and fairly mild, with several days with above zero temperatures. This has been a very pleasant winter so far...........
