vanman: What a beautiful shot of the Highgate and Edmonds/Kingsway skyline! Burnaby should use your gorgeous fall picture in a calendar or a publication. Thanks, also, for all your posts that I've read. I have learned much from this forum since I joined and it is contributors like you who have made it so interesting.

Nice shot.
I don't think I've ever seen a shot of that Edmonds cluster before.

Nice!..Kings Crossing looks like a city in a city. Work, live and shop in one city block.

Always nice when a project is well-detailed enough to warrant a bunch of detail shots. Thanks for sharing!

Hi everyone! First time posting here but have been following this thread quite some time now. Really appreciate the time to time updates. Has anyone heard when completion of KC2 will be?

See Oct 23 entry: " Following receipt of Occupancy for Kings Crossing II, the Vendor will send an Official Notice of Completion letter to you, your realtor (if applicable) and your chosen legal representative. Please note that you are required to complete the purchase of your new home on the date specified in your Official Notice of Completion letter. We anticipate completions to begin in January 2020. " Guess w/b that IF Burnaby issues the occupancy permit in mid-December, deficiency inspections would happen until early January then completions would start in mid January or early Feb. So, move-ins may commence in, I'm guessing, mid-Feb? Assuming no glitches arise to stop the domino train.

Still looks like lots of work to be done so I'm skeptical of the January completion date.

One cold morning this week. Spot Surrey Central in the background.

Looks like -20C!

It took a bit to find Surrey: I kept looking at the middle 'skyline/horizon,' thinking "what's he talking about." There was a tiny shock when I finally spotted it.

Very nice photo.

Does anyone know which grocery store is opening here, and when? I know there's been talk on here of Buy Low and Nesters - but I haven't been able to find anything official. You'd think they'd have made some kind of announcement by now, esp as the retail was supposed to open by the end of this year.

Buy Low Foods is being mentioned because it is a division of Save-On Foods, and is part of the Pattison Group of companies. Buy Low Foods also owns Nesters Market Grocery Stores (they are in Whistler, Yaletown, Broadway, SFU, et al) http://www.nestersmarket.com/ Been told by a Buy Low employee that Nesters Market will be the store in Kings Crossing.

I looked into the Edmonds St windows from across the street (the sidewalk is still blocked off) and it looks like the retail and office space are still empty shells. There are no signs up either so I don't expect anything to open for at least a few more months.

There's a bit of activity in the grocery store space now. I can confirm that it will be a Buy-Low. I saw some mechanical prints on the floor inside, they say Buy Low on them.

Is that dark blue at the top some kind of protective film or blue spandrel?
