They have or are in the process of changing the intersection, they have closed off the right turn onto Kingsway and it's now sidewalk. More "city" feel than suburb, the island part is gone.

Cool, thanks.
That lighting is a bit underwhelming (so far), but it's a primarily residential area,
so they can't go really loud.

Maybe there is more than meets the eye?

This is Burnaby after all, so maybe they would allow more than these couple strips of sad sad lights.

Yeah, wondering about that.
The big A-frame looks like it's solidly clad with aluminum panels.
The diagonal mullions strips being added could have lights, but they're awfully thin.

I wouldn't say the intersection of Edmonds and Kingsway is primarily residential (although the overall area is). Anyway it's still under construction so maybe that's only the first few light strips installed.

Worked The north side penthouse of Tower 2 (Feature Tower), it was the last suite in the tower being dry-walled.
For the past week or so, tenants have been moving into Tower 1 (Edmonds Tower).
Again, when asking about the grocier, Buy Low Foods was mentioned.
The Bank (not sure which bank) are going to start setting up and occupying 2 floors of The Office Tower in a couple of weeks, The bank's branch at street level I think will be a little later (still work to be done on accessing).

Hi Zepfancouver, would you mind take a photo/video of the Kingsway tower (KC1) from a southeast facing unit of KC tower 2, preferably any floor between 20 and 23? I'd like to have an idea of the view from Tower 2 SE facing unit (how much view is blocked by KC tower 1). Thanks so much in advance!

I was really just thinking of the surrounding towers whose residents might complain about bright lights (ie not office towers).

The A shape frame at the front is clad in grey granite or other grey stone or tile, so will probably not be illuminated strips. The "Bank" going in will be the Gulf & Fraser Credit Union, known as the G&F Financial Group, that is completely relocating from accross Kingsway beside RONA into Kings Crossing.
Buy Low Foods is being mentioned because it is a division of Save-On Foods, and is part of the Pattison Group of companies. Buy Low Foods also owns Nesters Market Grocery Stores (they are in Whistler, Yaletown, Broadway, SFU, et al) http://www.nestersmarket.com/ Been told by a Buy Low employee that Nesters Market will be the store in Kings Crossing.
Bought in tower 2. Just received the final paperwork: " Following receipt of Occupancy for Kings Crossing II, the Vendor will send an Official Notice of Completion letter to you, your realtor (if applicable) and your chosen legal representative. Please note that you are required to complete the purchase of your new home on the date specified in your Official Notice of Completion letter. We anticipate completions to begin in January 2020. "

That leaves G&F financial a good land site to combine with the RONA for redevelopment.

Nester's is nice, they've really prioritize that brand over Buy Low

In addition while the BuyLow foods group is part of Pattison's companies, it's operational structure is different and separate from Overweitea (Save-On, UrbanFare, Pricesmart), they also have Meinhardt and Choices under their banner.
