If it was an expansion, then why not just expand in a way that is sympathetic to the original as compared to redoing the entire thing in such a lousy way.

I don't mean to gang up on that Edmonton library project but this is a good example of why it isn't a good idea to try and turn something old, even if it's a little on the dull side, into something new and flashy, especially on a beer budget. Sometimes you're better off sticking with the original.

I'm not going to wear rose coloured glasses just to appease some sentivities. I wasn't shitting on koops either. I was shitting on the crude program he uses. You know he could do amazing faster and better with a better program. Instead of telling the truth, you throw feigned praise. That's not being supportive either and that line of thinking is also a reason why innovation is failing in this country. It's up to koops to feel offended or take it as constructive criticism sharing his model across all the development threads with us.

860 Sheppard doesn't make any sense to me. It's another banking everything on different and unique over quality. There's need to be some separation between the styles for it to work. Setbacks eat into the floor space.

60 Mill Street has been revised. This works much better now. I like how the proposed addition pays homage to the whiskey barrel rolling racks currently inside the original structure. At least that's what I assume is the inspiration for the design.
