Hi,
Does someone know what's happening with the Terrace House on 1250 WEST HASTINGS?
It's been weeks if not months that i have seen workers there.

Wow you are asking for the moon. That would be an uphill battle and involves the burning down of City Hall and starting a civil war with Nimbys and their sympathizers (the clueless).

It's much easier to build a 700' somewhere east of Boundary Road, seriously.

Walked by the model shop on Granville Island and I noticed this skyscraper that seemed to be wrapped in a metal exoskeleton. Not sure if the model was just unfinished.

Maybe One Bloor West

I know of one in planning that has just that treatment, so you're probably looking at the finished product.

And no pic?

How would you estimate the height?

Squat like Telus, the 120ish Vancouver staple, or taller (150+) ?

This is under the assumption that a tower with an exoskeleton aesthetic is likely an office tower.

I would guess at least 25-30 stories but this was like a ten second glance. It wasn't a thick exoskeleton like One Bloor and seemed more like scaffolding.

Thanks!

Another Vancouver staple then. Going to guess... 118 meters

Four Seasons Hotels are certainly up to something here. They have just completed a very expensive photo shoot here, highlighting Vancouver, Whistler and Kelowna.

No it was more like metal rods in a more square structure up the entire building.

I was down there for the same reason today, I thought that's what might be hiding under that bag

The cats out of the bag.

I managed to get some photos of it today, and I'll post them tomorrow if no one else beats me to it. I think it's 36 floors, including a two floor podium, but not the screened in mechanical area. The form looks a little narrow, but has a good sized depth. It has a diamond grid pattern similar to 8x, but that element looks to be internal. Perhaps it's steel framing, as it goes all the way to the ground level.

Cool I wonder how many long term tenants got the boot for that project?

I’m surprised it’s more cost effective to dig underground and add three levels if parking than to just tear it down.

Thanks. Looking forward to the photos.

What's the location?

The parkade behind the Erickson building on the SE corner of Dunsmuir and Thurlow?
One of the parkades on the Bentall complex?
The parkade on the NW corner of Seymour and Pender?
