Loyola owns all that land. They will likely continue to expand their downtown campus onto that land. I heard rumors about them taking down the beautiful corner buildings as part of their plans, so let's hope they have a more sensitive plan now.

Thanks for posting. Said CASE Foundations will finish up "13th to 14th of September." Quick work.

Also makes me wonder if now we'll see groundbreaking on some other imminent projects now that CASE has finished up here, eg 800 W Fulton and others.

I thought LU only owned that parking lot. I thought someone else owned that building on the corner of Chi and State. I used to live in that building and never heard anything of it being owned by LU from anyone i dealt with. But maybe they were just a management company.

Does anyone know if this has a construction live cam? Can find one for 800 W Fulton and for 110 N Wacker but not for this.

Quick aside - Isn't this the block where Al Capone murdered someone in a flower shop?

Yes - though I don't think Capone did so personally.

Walked by the site tonight. There was an excavator working in the dark at 7:30 pm. I like this.

They are digging fast. Probably trying to get the mat pour done and core forms up before winter.
Is it just a constant stream of dump trucks through there?

Yes. And non-stop street sweepers. Portion of Chicago ave has already been resurfaced once since they started.

Really is amazing to watch.

Thanks harry.

Awesome updates, Harry. The complexity of this construction is truly awesome to watch. There is still so much I don't understand.

Does anyone remember that incredible video of the 727 W Madison screen grab (I'd assume from CAD or some other kind of software) construction process on the computer? I feel like we need one of those for this project. Also if anyone can find that video the background music was great. I believe it was deleted from the forum.
