similarly, at certain times of the year chicago also has a warm sunny climate and t-shirt, shorts, and flips are likewise practical.
i think it's a marvelous thing that our society has progressed to the point where everyone is allowed the freedom to dress for their own comfort and style as opposed to everyone being held to some absurdly inappropriate conformist standard that all men have to wear a 3 piece suit and top hat whenever they are outside of their own home (regardless of practicality).
you feel that our society has lost something. my opinion on the matter is 180 degrees opposite.
