Maybe a SAD metaphor for these "desperate" times in Podunk ATL.

Asphalt and animals. I guess it wouldn't be too far fetched to expect to see a sleuth sitting on a couch with a dog watching a — cat parade on the tube.

Did you skip your meds today??

Wow and yesterday you were essentially making the same point because someone brought up exit ramps and some of us commented.

Okay so you clicked one extra time because someone posted when you checked versus someone didn’t and you checked the site and then moved along, it ain’t that serious

It's the Opus Place development on 14th street. I guess that is showing all 3 towers they planned on building now instead of the first one.

Hopefully, it will switch to rentals and a hotel. That might precipitate construction, whereas if it's still condos, it may remain in limbo.

At least we know the developer is still paying the architect or at least the model builder--

I'm New Yorker who loves Atlanta. I love the cost of things, the climate, and the hilly, wooded terrain. I'm not going to lie, I think that, cost and climate aside, Philly, Boston, D.C. (and, of course, N.Y.) are much better cities, but when faced with the prospect of what $700,000 buys in the Atlanta burbs versus what it buys in the N.Y. burbs, I'd move to Atl. in a heartbeat if I had the chance to.

I always enjoy visiting Atlanta, and I hope that this project finally gets built.

It depends on your definition of "better". If it's that those cities are more walkable, then absolutely yes. They're old cities built largely before the advent of the automobile. NYC is in a class all its own. But having spent alot of time in Boston, there are certainly areas it falls short of Atlanta in my mind...direct air connectivity, diversity and food being high on the list. As friend who is a Boston native living now in Atlanta has said, the issue with food in New England is "England".

Yes...aren't the terms apartment and condo used interchangably in some cities? I remember a friend saying he "bought an apartment on the Upper West Side in NYC" years ago.
