A look from today's drone photo, it appears that 2019 is a no go. Unless hey can perform miracles and salvage what's left of the summer.

Excellent drone photos (as always) Budyser.

I'm sure the St. George project must have a name, but it just isn't generally known yet.........

Well since it doesn’t look like they will be able to use the centennial park pool this year, they could use the Hilton’s current hole for anyone looking to swim.

On a more serious note, the drone photo’s really show the size of the Hilton.

Sorry, this pool is reserved for those looking for urban catfish. They migrated here from Jones Lake.

Driving down Highfield Street today I saw that they were pumping the water out of the hole. Pump hose gushing water onto the street.

I noticed what I believe are pieces of a crane on the Elm St. side of the Hilton property this morning although the hole still has some water in it.

Indeed. I swung by this evening for a look and those are definitely pieces of a crane, presumably a tower crane, If so, this will be tower crane #4 in the metro area for the year, with at least one more (Emma Place) on the way.

I see that McKenzie College has moved to the old ALC building on St George Blvd (there's a sign out front).

As such, they must be vacating their current premises in the old Marine Atlantic building on the NW corner of Cameron and Gordon. This would remove an important roadblock to the reconversion (and expansion) of this building into a seniors apartment complex.

I wonder if construction here is upcoming this year too? This is a six storey project, and could conceivably require a tower crane too.

More crane parts being delivered this morning.

I'm getting annoyed with this construction and it hasn't even started! They have Elm street partially or mostly blocked with dump trucks many early morning before 8 so for people who use this street it's becoming challenging. They are treating it like a private drive even though it's a public street where I noticed a day last week they were flat out blocking the entire road and I could see people having to turn around.

Driving downtown this AM it looks like there's something happening at the corner of Main & Botsford. The Higgins block was purchased a few months ago with the intention of developing the two upper floors. This is long overdue. It will be a real improvement right in the heart of downtown as the boarded up windows looked terrible. Great location, great potential.

They installed the base of the tower crane for the Hilton Garden Inn today.

Weather, soil conditions delay Moncton's Centennial Beach pool
Councillors says pool may open in early or mid-August

It is unfortunate that spring was so late in arriving this year, and once it did, it was exceedingly wet. It's no wonder construction has been delayed. An opening in early to mid August means almost the entire season will be lost, but in any event, this should be a very worthwhile project.

On Main Street, underground work is being done right in front of the Terminal Plaza building at 1222 Main. Does this work have anything to do with this building being redeveloped by Crombie?

I think it has to do with the impending sewer work on Weldon.
