Also, did they successfully get the City to open Chapel to Beausoleil? Their images suggest that, but I know that it was strongly opposed.

I'm no architect, but my guess is that it's because glass isn't energy efficient and shatters easily during earthquakes. That could be quite a problem considering our climate and geography.
