All this hype about projects moving forward and people didn't even post about the project w/ a rendering on Marietta BLVD near Scofflaw :
"A new mixed-use project is planned for a former industrial property in Atlanta’s emerging Upper West Side.

Atlanta-based Cannon Equities has filed plans with the city of Atlanta and the state for a 4.6-acre site along Marietta Boulevard, including buildings that once housed Buckhead Beef.

A project there could include 350,000 square feet of residential, with both rental and for-sale housing, said Dwight Bell, president and CEO of Cannon Equities. It would also have about 300,000 square feet of commercial space, including loft office and retail space."

Or that someone is buying the old JPX Emerson site.

Of course, but I'm part of the masses and I want my cake.

46-story tower

In a tease for their Friday print edition, there’s an ABC video that has a title that includes “46 story tower”. I wonder if this is 1138 Peachtree or some other new proposal?

1138 was 45 stories at the DRC meeting a few years ago. Either way, looking forward to what hopefully is new renderings.

insert twiddlesthumbs.gif here. No real updates, other than he had to go back to the NPU because his air rights expired.

I'd much rather see 1125 get off the ground than 1138.

I'd be excited if he had financing. Since he doesn't, not much new to see here.

IMO, depends if 1138's design has been altered or not. If the renderings are updated, I could be more excited about 1138. That said, I am going to miss not having 13th street extended from Williams to Piedmont.

I really wanted Linden, 11th, 13th, 15th, and 16th streets to all be extended. Doesn't seem to be a priority to the city, however.

IMHumorO, If you had a gridded rubber stamp the size of a city block,
you'd rubber stamp the entire metro into the LA of the South in a New York minute...

We get it, Street Advocate - street connectivity is your thing.

At least within a 4 mile radius of 5 points! (I know I repeat myself a lot. My friends deal with it and remind me... all of the time).

Related, one of the maps I made for Atlanta includes street grid extensions (in addition to LRT, HRT, BRT, bike lane, trail, and parkspace expansions). To be real though, extending the street grid would do wonders for improving walkability and relieving some of the unnecessary bottlenecks for traffic throughout the city.

It was a madhouse in there today for lunch.

Glad to have a seriously massive produce selection right in the heart of Midtown. Public Plaza Midtown pitiful produce section was not cutting it.

Star Metals in West Midtown lands $100 million construction loan

Barings Real Estate and Bank of the Ozarks Inc. provided the financing for the project, Star Metals Offices.

Developer The Allen Morris Co. last year inked co-working provider Spaces to a 56,121-square-foot lease to help anchor the building. Spaces will occupy the 7th and 8th floors, or about 20 percent of the project.

The office building, designed by Chad Oppenheim of Oppenheim Architecture and Warner Summers Architecture firm, is slated for completion by the fall, 2020.A 14-story office building in West Midtown first unveiled three years ago has landed a $100 million construction loan.

Absolute zoo, not sure what I thought it was going to be, but it wasn't that. My god where did all the people come from?
