This looks like it would fit on that space.

The Jordan is a twenty-three-story residential high-rise with 212 luxury apartment homes in Dallas, Texas.

Is this Trillist project trying to compete for worst pedestrian experience? Hopefully this gets rejected. Two drive ways through the Peachtree Street sidewalk is ridiculous.

I've seen the drawings. It's not quite as fancy as that project, but not bad.

It takes up the East portion of the property - everything between the church and Juniper and everything between the old condo building and 5th.

L-shaped tower over a parking podium. 9 levels of parking (1 below grade, 8 above). Amenity/Pool deck at level 9. Total 27 stories. Leasing office and 1 small retail space face Juniper.

Facade is mostly EIFS and punch-windows with an interesting gable and metal roof. It's nice looking and a bit different.

It is being priced now, we'll see what happens.

Interesting projects-- and finally some new news. 1138 is the Trillist tower that has been out there for awhile.

Is this the only amenity deck or is there a second actual rooftop deck? Blows my mind how many projects don't include a rooftop deck, especially those that will have forever views to the east.

Does this mean the building would be facing Piedmont Avenue?
If it's L-shaped, does it also mean that a portion of the building will front 4th Street?

The project is on juniper, not piedmont. Eric Newnan covered this and mentioned the retail is on juniper, which IMO is great for the street.

Yup. The site plan is below. It's going to be right behind the church and fronting Juniper.

I imagine they'll be going to the DRC soon to present the project. It's not that big of a lot honestly.

I have not seen (nor could find) any details about that project, but it seems to be a big deal for that area. With Ford Fry's new location opening soon, a new gas station (bleh), a new Starbucks that whole area is going to look pretty different in a few years.
Do the guys at Curbed lurk here and take our content without attribution to our anonymity? LD has been filed for a few weeks now and within two days of my post they are writing articles about it...

I've often wondered that. Is it time for an SP CRE blog?

Street Lights Residential Presented to the NPU recently. Looks like it will be "gothic-inspired". Let's hope they pull it off properly without running into an obviously value-engineered design.

Quote:
A Dallas developer is working on a plan to build a Gothic-inspired, nearly 300-unit apartment tower next to Midtown’s more than century-old St. Mark United Methodist Church.

StreetLights Residential presented the project April 2 to Neighborhood Planning Unit E, which includes areas such as Midtown, Atlantic Station, Georgia Tech and Ansley Park.

It would rise on less than a one-acre site at the intersection of 5th and Juniper streets that the church began listing for sale in 2016.

StreetLights has the property under contract, said Fred Kay, a senior vice president of developer for the company. It hopes to present the design to the Midtown Development Review Committee later this summer and possibly as early as June, he said.

StreetLights unveiled a rendering to the neighborhood planning group that showed an apartment project that would resemble the Gothic Revival design of St. Mark United, which was built in the early 1900s.

The developer would not release the renderings to the public because the design is still conceptual, Kay said.

The neighborhood planning unit had no opposition to the project. It would be the first development for StreetLights in Midtown.

Planning permit filed for the next apartment building in the redevelopment of the old Turner Field area / Summerhill. 312 units with retail at 495 Hank Aaron Dr SW.

903 Peachtree filed their land development permit and a plan review demo permit for the existing one story buildings.

The "circuit board" 27-story student apartment tower at 3rd and Spring (Norfolk Southern block) also filed their land development permit and paid $2150 in fees.

Atlantic Station dual-branded hotel filed a land development permit. This is 301 17th, the big hole on the north side of the street inbetween BB&T and Twelve. Have we seen any renders or heard a height on this one?
