Looks like the glass fronting the balcony - fingers crossed that the rest will be .... flatter

I've been looking at some renderings of Gr333n more carefully and it seems there are some elements of texture that haven't been added yet that should improve the look of the glass.
There's also a pile rig or cassion rigs along Ashland just south of Ogden. Anyone know what that is? Looked like the east side of Ashland near Jackson.

Ogden Avenue? There will need to be some real density on both sides and some pedestrian improvements to jump that I think.
The Kinzie PMD was loosened between Ogden and Ashland recently, probably because planners (correctly) understand that Ashland/Lake is a transfer station and can accommodate denser office around it. The new zoning will allow office buildings up to an FAR of 3.0 and allow reasonable limits for restaurant and retail square footage. This will not allow full downtown zoning like east of Ogden, but will be more of a transition zone.
Yeah it was poking up right by that cool sandstone church. I was running late or I would have driven over to see what's up. I'll take the detour tomorrow if I have a moment, but I know the 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵 old cranes Revcon uses from a mile away and it was definitely one of them.
Speaking of, why is it that foundation contractors always seem to favor beat up old cranes for their rigs?

Really the whole area around the United Center should be a mini-node with higher density than the West Loop.

is that above or below average for this part of town? how many new units are there here?

The owner of the United Center chose to put it in the middle of his parking lot properties, rather than near a transit station. His descendants don't now deserve a big gift from the taxpayers.
well, i primarily want a madison pink line stop for the UC itself.
with over 200 scheduled events a year at a facility that holds ~20,000 attendees, it seems like a no-brainer to me.
True, but doesn't the Wirtz family own those parking lots? I wouldn't be surprised if the idea of a CTA stop near United Center has been floated before and it received some heavy pushback.
