^i don’t disagree but I am not convinced the residents will walk or bike to the station.
Although get some protected bike lanes in that neighbourhood and I could see big use during March -November

I'd say they could've added 2 to 3 addtional stations between South Campus/Fort Edmonton and Century Park while they're at it.

Lets keep adding stations until LRT functions as a local bus route. Once we have LRT functioning like a local bus route, lets change the bus routes into LRT like service.

— this city is backasswards with its transit.

Closed LRT station elevator frustrated Edmonton parents with stroller

I haven't seen these before:

I still think Stadium would've been better off moving a couple hundred metres to the south to better integrate with the neighbourhood there while moving closer to Commonwealth Stadium at the same time, but providing alternate grade level access on either side will provide similar benefits and provide additional capacity after Eskimos games and other events.

I agree and the Stadium Station Area ARP recommended that as well as a long-term goal if significant upgrades were required to the existing station. I inquired with the City as to why this wasn't considered and am waiting to hear back.

Either way, that station needs an upgrade big time. Looks run down and with the future development around there starting soon, this station needs to be redone.

I use Transit. I can't imagine there is a better one. Some of the buses seem to have live positions on them now. Not sure how that's split up, but some are periodic updates only.

I did find an older plan that had Stadium moving south but this is the latest plan.

Depends what you're looking for, but I like Citymapper, especially for route planning when in other cities.

ACT fund provides $90-million investment in transit in Edmonton
March 7, 2019

The Government of Alberta is investing roughly $90 million in transit in Edmonton through the Alberta Community Transit (ACT) fund. This significant investment will allow many critically important transit projects in Edmonton to proceed, including:

Upgrades at Stadium LRT Station
Preliminary planning & design of a new transit garage
Additional purchase of electric buses*
Transit priority improvements to access Park & Ride facilities
Preliminary planning & design for a new LRT Station at 40 Ave
Preliminary planning & design for a new transit centre and Park & Ride facility at 50 Street
Upgrading Terwillegar Drive to an expressway

“We’re excited with this investment. It allows ETS to purchase more electric buses, make transit centre improvements and, most importantly, build for the future,” said Eddie Robar, Branch Manager of Edmonton Transit Service (ETS). “The planning and design of a new transit garage is a critical step for ETS to grow our service, and would give us added flexibility and efficiency at other garages as well.”

ACT funding will allow for the planning and design of a new transit garage in the 2019-2022 capital budget cycle, with anticipated construction beginning in the next capital budget cycle. Construction would be completed by 2030.

*ACT funding will accommodate the purchase of up to 28 electric buses, while previous PTIF funding will provide approximately 21 electric buses, for a total up to 50.

^I didn't know a new 40th Ave station was being seriously discussed. Guess there is enough demand from Harry Ainlay and the adjacent residential neighbourhoods to support one.

I would have rather seen an LRT stop at 95th street in Boyle/McCauley before 40th Ave, but maybe ETS didn't see a need since the distance between Churchill and Stadium is much less than Century Park and Southgate...

Stops are definitely needed at both 40th and 95th. I know ETS is reluctant to add a stop at 95th because of the Quarters stop to the south. But I think they are spaced enough apart that they will serve different areas.
