Both are reasons why I really like that photo. I do wish there were more modern-looking skyscrapers in the photo though. Hudson Tower will help fix that in a big way!

The new Detroit skyline will look a bit like Chicago in 1974, the year Sears Tower was completed. When Hudson Tower is done, the Ren Cen will play the role of Aon Center, and Ally Detroit Center will be the John Hancock Center.
