I forgot to mention how cool that first photo is. I’ve never seen Telus Sky from that angle before. Well done.

It wasn't missing, rather, they had kept it in a chequing account for two+ years. They didn't realize it was not generating any interest, and didn't realize that maybe they should buy some GICs or "something" with a majority of it, and keep the portion required for the next year in at least a basic high interest savings account.

Joking aside, that's a large amount of money for nobody to have paid attention to. Maybe Suburbia got his facts wrong?
I assure you I relayed the reality quite accurately.

We don't know that. Let's not assume.

Every family is different. The rule in my family was that once you completed high school, you either worked and paid board or you were a student.

That's how it used to be for most people, but these days parents generally let their kids stay at home without having to get a job or pay room and board.

And it would have been taken from a third (not sure if also a HAWCS chopper).

[Edit]

Looks like it is two and not three (the photo must have been from a non-HAWCS chopper)

The CPS Air Support Unit flies two EC-120 helicopters. These are one of the quietest helicopters available today. This style of helicopter has an enclosed tail rotor, called a fenestron, which reduces the noise signature of the aircraft.

Every family is different, but I find that these days kids stay with their parents longer. Back in the 80s, kids used to move out as soon as they hit 18, nowadays 30 seems to be about the average age when kids move out.

Children do stay at home longer, but it’s not necessarily a bad thing. By staying at home longer they can take their time going through school or if not going to school they can build up their finances.
