I know that's how the design was sold, but that's an insult to the Rockies. They just look akward. It's a shame they aren't shorter so we don't see them.

Lol dunno what to tell you. It's the fifth tallest building in the country outside of Toronto.

Whether one likes EAP or not, at least Calgary is taking some chances. Some of them may not work while others are slam dunks (Telus Sky).

Well hopefully in a few decades it will be hidden from view with a taller generation of towers.

I believe EAP was a recycled design from Pickard Chilton that was originally supposed to go in Atlanta, so the mountian theme is not 100% accurate. The design intent for the developers was always mountain based, they just happened to come across a design that suited that.

I believe they look better from street level than in the skyline. Which isn't really what you want from a skyscraper.

EAP looks great from some angles and fairly bland from others. The view from directly south is blah. Really blah. But if you get a look at them in the setting sun or early morning from the west or just slightly south of west they look great and the mountain allusion is pretty easy to see. They suffer a bit from needing to be just slightly taller, they sit a bit bulky.

I wonder why the Sudbury Inco Stack doesn't show up on this page? It's 380.1 meters tall.
