I wonder if this is an isolated incident with the panel falling over. It's just hard to believe that they forgot to install the glass panel at the balcony.
This is what happens people are just there 'to put their hours in' and don't care about the consequences of their work.

That said, any proper construction company should have a series of checks to make sure things like this don't get missed. Someone should get fired over this and it shouldn't just be the construction workers.

Well, let's hope this is only one forgotten panel and not something more serious: shoddy installation across the board. Hopefully they are sounding the alarm and have all the glass panels checked before another missing one is found. But yeah, I'm sure heads will roll.

How do you move into an apartment and not notice there's a glass panel missing on your 31st floor balcony?

The story doesn't seem to say if the people had moved in yet and were perhaps showing it off to their daughter. It does say the panel was noted as missing several months ago.

Quote:
Jennifer believes the panel was noted as missing during a walk-through several months ago, but they thought it would have been in place by the time her parents moved in. She said the builder was contacted and her parents have been told the panel will be put in place on Monday.

Thanks for the pictures! Just wondering, are towers 4 and 5 being built simultaneously or are they just building tower 4 at the moment?

Both at once but Tower 4 started way ahead of Tower 5.

Tower 4 is just about clearing the podium level right now, while they're still excavating the pit for Tower 5.

^Cool comparison. Some variations in the mullions and the tower a little shorter than rendered. Of course, no trees on top.

There are trees at least on top of Tower 3. The penthouse was recently renting on Craigslist. $4,500 for a 1,150 sqft place is too expensive in my opinion.

Those are nicely scaled "bushes" or topiaries and wouldn't require a helicopter lift to replace if they die.

There are now 4 cranes on the Station Square site. Last two towers should go up quickly with the fourth tower already well above street level!
