Here is the junction of the A-640 and A-40 just east of Montreal.

The A-40 also goes to Trois-Rivières which is the fifth biggest metro in the province but the control city is Quebec City only.
Trois-Rivières only shows up extremely sporadically (if at all) as a control city on the A-40 in the Montreal and Quebec City areas, IIRC.
