Most importantly the NDP "won" the Lower Mainland virtually on one promise (aside from tolls lol) - bringing the price of housing down. And they've done a pretty good job of it. All those foreign buyer taxes and regulations seem to slowly be working. I think that was important in helping their legitimacy and competence as a government.

Some correction here. The foreign buyer tax was put in by the Liberals and prices went down for around 3 months then shot right back up (kind of proved that foreign sales weren't the main reason).
The taxes the NDP put in didn't seem to affect prices in 2018 either, besides that the price went down the same amount as the tax.
What really hit the market was when the federal Liberals put in the mortgage test and raised interest rates. That slowed the housing markets across Canada.
The NDP's promise was to improve affordability. On that they've failed. Its harder for someone to buy a 1 bedroom condo as its harder to get a mortgage and interest rates are higher. And prices of lower one bedroom condos have only gone up since 2017.
