Don't forget about Houston. Not only is it huge...it has a true walkable Downtown.

The Sunbelt's future overall is bright. To name a few things, there's the business-friendly climate, favorable weather and low COL.

A lot of the legacy northern population centers will also have to deal with an infrastructure as well as financial crisis in the near future, as they're burdened with long-term liabilities (such as pensions) that relatively young southern cities/states are not, as well as extremely old roads/schools/transit/sewers/pipes/bridges that will require major, costly overhauls. The Flint Water Crisis, as unfortunate as the situation is, was just the tip of the iceberg.

The sunbelts future may be bright. But the sunbelt is powered by Democratic cities which fund education and infrastructure.

GA passed a "bathroom bill" a la NC's (which was later repealed)? I must have missed that.

I meant to say the GA bill punishing Delta arlines for standing up to the NRA. This is even worse than the bathroom bill because it not only increases murder, but punishes those who desire to do something about gun violence.

Last Tuesday, JBG Smith filed for interior demolition permits for the entirety of 1800 S. Bell St. in Arlington. Permits were already filed for interior and exterior demo of 1770 Crystal Dr. Both empty towers were mentioned in the media as probable first-phase sites for HQ2.

This morning, a media event is being set up at PenPlace, a shovel-ready site nearby with approval for 1.8 million square feet of office (and no subsidies needed, and a Whole Foods across the street).

That 5K employee hub in Nashville may have been where Cagle and electing Kemp screwed us. They probably had Atlanta in mind for that consolation prize until they happened.

The first post 3k made under his second account was on page 97 and said something like “we’ll see who looks like a fool when the announcement is made”.

He managed to delete that post even though he got banned from that account too. I guess you can stuff even when you can’t post. We all see who looks like a fool now. His words, not mine.

The Gulch deal passed and Amazon didn’t even give us a consolation prize. I’m just glad that the ordeal is over.
