There is no real evidence the film industry is going away. Georgia didn't rank #1 in money earned at the box office last year but that could be pure luck. That more top grossing films happened to be filmed in Canada is not necessarily an indictment on Georgia. Canada pioneered tax incentives to lure filming way back in the 1990's but they NEVER ranked #1 until last year. Tax incentives aren't the end all and be all. The film industry by all accounts is still going strong in Georgia. 2017 set a record for shows and movies being filmed in the state. I too worry about the tax incentives. However, it is important to note that the U.K. hands out more film tax incentives than anyone else.
As for Amazon 2.0, I doubted it would come to Georgia. I have several reasons for thinking it, but it isn't important. I just feel they will choose DC or NYC. Not that it will make any difference much to metro Atlanta, which is gaining many new jobs and big time names like Mercedes, Porsche, etc. The metro is by any measure roaring.
