Now they'll have the new development on the back of the Forks to boost their walk-in clientele. They ain't going anywhere and they'd be idiots if they seriously considered a move. They get their money from the Forks and people going to and from work or Jets games. It makes absolutely no sense for them to choose a new location at such an inaccessible location. They want to redevelop the site because that brings in new customers. In fact, a crowd attracts a crowd so if there were more restaurants on that row they'd actually be happier. I'm not even sure why people here are seriously entertaining the possibility of them moving to any other space.

I like the idea of Earl's at 300... it's an infinitely better location, closer to all the spenders (who likely all park in the parkade already), connected to every major property downtown (and their parking), and is not far from their old site.
The Forks never affected them, and lunchtime always came from downtown anyway, which would probably boom. Actually, they should literally demolish anyone else for lunch time, which is usually busy-ish. Throw in 600 residents up top and office workers not needing to get in their car to go for dinner, and their evening crowd should increase.
It's been a long time since their current spot was on fire. This would really help.
I mean, everyone always thought this was a great site for a restaurant, and I'd agree. There's no way Earl's current spot is better. I personally prefer independent places but they're a big name that makes a big splash, so i'd be on board.

No idea about Millwork, but Bode & Boge have teamed up with North American Steel for, well, steel.
