Following up on this item, the case details were posted online. They're proposing 331 apartment units along with 30,000 SF of retail. Not bad for 3.65 acres along an otherwise meh stretch of Koenig/North Lamar.
Along with this there are a few other N Lamar-ish projects worth keeping an eye on, coincidentally all within the Lamar/Justin TOD plan area:
- Crestview Station Phase VI (7400 N Lamar) - This is the lot adjacent to the recently completed Crestview Commons. Expedited review is pending
- Crestview Highline (6324 N Lamar) - 100 apt units; 3,500 SF retail on 1.26 acres. Seems to be under review right now.
- 6705 N Lamar - This was proposed across the street from those sketchy motels. 158 apt units; 1,343 SF retail on 0.83 acres. Currently inactive but maybe they'll resubmit with corrections? It's nice to know at least someone is looking in the area.
- St. John's West - Currently under construction at St. John's and Guadalupe. Interesting b/c they are apparently doing underground parking. 297 units over 2.43 acres.
