I'm not 100% sure, but that might be the one I was talking about. I was on a school bus, sitting by the west facing windows looking east. It was a brew tour, so there is a possibility I might have been mixed up.

Parkdale/Scott? There is construction at Parkdale/Wellington but nothing yet at Parkdale/Scott - Preston doesn't intersect with Parkdale

Parkdale/Scott. I guess I had Preston in my head because of a conversation on another thread.

So yes, what I saw was an excavation on the corner of Parkdale and Scott.

Sorry for the confusion. I had a couple mix-ups over the last week.

I'll put this here. Not sure it warrants its own thread just yet.

The CAQ promises new 170 bed "regional" hospital for Gatineau. No word on where and whether it would replace the Hull hospital. Worth noting that the Gatineau Hospital has 211 beds, the Hull Hospital has 245 beds and the Buckingham Hospital has 66. Other hospitals in the region;

Ottawa General: 569 beds
Civic Hospital:549 beds
Montfort Hospital: 289 beds
Queensway Carleton Hospital: 264 beds

The new Civic, which is in a class of its own, is expected to have 800 to 900 beds.

They are also planning for better compensation of medical staff.

No word on the type of services that would be available at this new hospital.

If we're talking number of beds exclusively, I think it should have a minimum of 250 if it becomes the main hospital out of the 4. If it replaces the Hull Hospital, then the new one should have 500 beds.
