I noticed the little building on Bannatyne that is home to K9. The dog armour manufacturer has been painted and has a sign saying a storefront will open August 24th. Good news. It was always such an introverted place. Building looks good. They didn’t paint over the ghost sign either.

Sounds like they are sniffing around for some new revenue streams. I hope they don’t end up barking up he wrong tree though.

Noticed the Newport renovations are progressing. The sidewalk in front of the building is all scafolding at street level. They also have a couple of swing stages on the west side at the top. It appears they are painting the building white.

Newport construction has been continuing on all day today. I wonder if there's time and scheduling sensitivities due to the skywalk running through it, that they'll have to work in off hours to keep it open during construction?

^Lots of action in that area. There's a retail development going in at Molson and Concordia. Potentially phase 1 of a larger development. The apartments above are phase 1, it appears, of a larger development which may include the Kings school land. They are moving and selling the site. Then there is another narrow residential thing going in just to the south of that site at 839 Panet. Going to be full of new stuff in a few years.
