Since he told us s while ago, there would be two in midtown and two downtown. And given the two were already announced in midtown, my guess would be the next two are downtown.

Yes and no.

I just hope whatever news breaks whenever lives up to the hype.

The other side of it is getting one's hopes up and then being disappointed because of too much hype. Not saying that is or will be the case, but I'm still keeping my expectations in check (for my own sanity).

Eh, if we don't get it nothing was really lost. It's fun to follow real estate and economic development news but not worth getting disappointed over (unless it actually takes away from the city or metro's vitality).

Tuesday's Announcement - No More After This

Good guesses by everyone, but I can guarantee it is not one of these companies. Again you will be shocked what has gone on behind the scenes to get to this point for something many thought was unimaginable in Atlanta or Georgia. What is being announced is in the CoA and that is all I will say before the story breaks.

Ah, you know what, one more thought just came to mind...

With Turner already having its operations based in Atlanta, the burgeoning film/tv industry and the merger with AT&T taking place, I wonder if there's discussion of consolidating all of WarnerMedia's operations here?

Given AT&T seems to be in a strong consolidation mood as of late, that wouldn't surprise me. It would be very unfortunate for Jeff Zucker though who has basically neutered CNN's operations in Atlanta because he hates traveling / living here.

The song in that video is from Air’s Moon Safari cd, gonna have to give that a listen too. Are they gonna start this after Modera moves their ops out of there?

I keep waiting for a Marvel theme park and studio exhibit.

The city of Atlanta (meaning the city proper, not suburbs).

BTW, I understand that Goldman Sachs was looking to open a huge office in Atlanta too. But they've been short on details to-date.

And then of course, Pandora been expanding significantly in Atlanta and cutying jobs in Oakland due to the cost of doing business and living in CA. The CEO seems to be very attracted to the city's culture and bullish about its future. Yet, they have stopped just short of announcing any plans to relocate their HQ.

Thanx for the clarification. I’m not sure either one of those guesses are up to the 9 of 10 level of excitement tho.

I'm just spitballing honestly. I can't think of anything else that:

*Would have been unimaginable before.

*Is not a tech / health / automotive HQ.

*Warrants an excitement level of a 9/10.

I mean, even WarnerMedia, Pandora and Goldman Sachs wouldn't have been that far fetched, as Atlanta is already a finance and media hub.

What if we're over thinking it? Instead of an out-of-state company, I feel like it could be someone right under our noses?

My guess is that Home Depot is going to announce that they're moving to the CoA. This is based on two things:
1. They've been having a hard time hiring for 1,000 tech jobs they need to fill: https://www.myajc.com/business/home-depot-ramping-hiring-for-tech-jobs/VQ2yil35Oe8rVvAYI5BBuO/
2. The potential of Amazon coming to Atlanta, which I'm sure every C-level at any Fortune 500 in Atlanta already know the decision, have put pressure on HD to move to the city to remain competitive for recruiting talent - which they're struggling to do now

I think HD fits the "shocking" announcement qualifications that Atlanta3000 has been hinting at.

Either way, I'm very pumped for Tuesday!
