Yes, activity was going on before announcements were made. Both Hyatt brands, but completely different owners.

Any more news regarding that proposal from a while back at Portage and Kennedy (Bradburn Building)?
I recall there being talk of an addition of some sort to the existing building.

Delayed/on hold.

I hate that Skip the Dishes ad. Fat ugly pasty white people scarfing down cheeseburgers by the pool. Yuck.

So it's a racial matter for you? You know, we're not generally allowed to be racist on these boards.

On a side note, I think our city diagram page needs to be updated. Instead of 360 Main, it should be labelled as 300 Main, and CanWest Global Place is no longer the name, but rather 201 Portage.

I work right next door. It's been very quiet with interior demolition lately. They've been tolling away on it for many months now. A very small crew has been working at it. The only big change in the last couple of months was a construction elevator added and scaffholding on the south west corner (but no one has been working on the building exterior since that went up).

I think that ad accurately captures a significant chunk of the typical customer base? Plus, I would describe them as doughy or perhaps pudgy, but not fat?

In connection with the Peguis Urban reserve on Portage Ave and Dominion St, did anyone catch this in the news about a future office tower and condos for that site:
According to Chief Glenn Hudson :
"The future is condominium developments, we’re going to look at putting up a larger office tower and some retail space, so things are looking up.”

It's been 18 years since I drew the original and I still have the CD-ROM of the Corel PhotoPaint 9 I used to make it.

I haven't illustrated nearly since then so someone else can feel free to update it. Some actual dimensions (besides height) would help and be sure to keep the former Scotiabank portion the original colour, lol.

I think it's fantastic news but I can't see a market for any sort of spec office space. This guy is absolutely right about the condos though, and I hope he gets what he wants without too much of the usual hassle.
