I appreciate that CN pulled up stakes, but what the city permitted for replacement is unconscionable. Look again at that amazing panoramic photo. Virtually all of those towers stretching out to 124th are situated to the north and south of Jasper Avenue. And where would the next LRT line be best situated? Underground along Jasper Avenue, to serve the existing dense development and remaining high density sites along Jasper Avenue, and not along 104th, which is effectively just another Baseline Road full of low density strip retail dreck, with the odd frame multi-res product here and there that would be welcome in the deep burbs.

Is 106 street considered part of the warehouse district?

North of the alley, yes. South of the alley is Jasper Avenue Main Street Corridor - JAMSC

That has the appearance of a high number of units for one tower of that height, suggesting a lot of cozy-sized units.

From those released initial renderings it looks like a 10 year old was let loose with some lego!

The zoning for Holyrood did not include any building elevations just a site plan (see attached). So those renderings are simply placeholders and are subject to further review by the EDC with each DP application.
