I have the money and wouldn’t live there. Along with the money I also have taste. That property only has one thing going for it and that’s the view, which they didn’t even take advantage of. My downtown view from the bottom of the hill may not be as dramatic but I’m at the river in 20 seconds.

There’s also zero point sinking that much money into a wooden box that is bigger than anyone needs.

Renting would probably be better in the long run financially but we bought so we could have something committed and I could renovate the whole thing since it’s what I do so it’s a way to increase the property value with less input $ than end value.
