No reason we can't make new neighbourhoods and new streets. If the False Creek Flats get redeveloped as Tsaiwa'esks (or get a street named as such), a station with the same name makes perfect sense. So long as it's Anglicized for maximum clarity, of course.

That's equally unhelpful. Arbutus and Alma are part of Kitsilano too... and Dunbar doesn't even connect to Broadway.

I agree , people who do not know Vancouver always mix up West Vancouver vs Vancouver West.

Not unless you want the M-Line permanently stopped at Alma and the Arbutus LRT cancelled (or limited to Downtown-Kitsilano). Giving the NIMBYs their own mayor is a very, very bad idea.

South Van maybe, but subdividing the police force/libraries/schools/etc yet again doesn't sound good either.

Think something like this:

I feel bad about how huge the image is but it would probably be best so you can see all the divisions and all the names.

I'm just using this address as a random example, instead of sending a letter to 2027 West 5th avenue, Vancouver, BC, you would instead send it to 2027 West 5th avenue, Kitsilano, BC.
