The amount of pre-war buildings over 10 stories and the freeway close to the downtown contribute to that look too.
And a freeway doesn't have stoplights.. Every significant piece of road infrastructure in Winnipeg has stoplights.

That's a beautiful downtown pic of Winnipeg, we rarely get to see evening shots from there.

You're right. I should give Winnipeg city planners more credit. There's no way they would have built that ballpark without allowing for future expansion.

No need to be nice. That area won't fill in until Winnipeg's suburbs are bursting at the seams.

Lol that emojie was the best I could find for a "shots fired" reaction. I guess I failed.

For what possible reason would they expand the ballpark to 12 to 18000 seats? The average game isn't close to a sell out now.

I've been there a few times. Lots of empty seats. The team is awesome too.

You can actually see a parking lot being filled in directly behind the park on the right by a new building. It is happening as we speak!

Yes it's the oldest transportation service in Canada and 2nd oldest salt water ferry service in the world after the one in Liverpool, UK. It began service in 1752. Crossing from Halifax to Dartmouth leave every 15 minutes and daily passenger volume is 3,000.
