A rare vantage of Montreal, from the Seaway bike path in Sainte-Catherine, a town on the South Shore.

I love the compactness of Calgary on this shot (from Oct., 2017)
The skyline is impressive

beauty. That ballpark is supremely situated. There was a brief moment when Montreal was expecting such a park to materialize (Labatt Park), but owner Jeffrey Loria and his sycophantic son-in-law David Samson instead moved the Expos to Florida.

Is that land still available for a ballpark or has it already been developed? Great location although I think Montreal needs a retractable roof. The season starts the first week of April and ends in November, if you are lucky.

If Minnesota can have an open air ballpark so can Montreal. I believe this spot below is still available.

I think it has been developed. Wasn’t a large housing complex (forgot the name, Terrasses something?) built on this land circa 2005? And the Expos moved to Washington, Loris went on to buy the Marlins.

And I believe the spot isaidso is showing is still available. I think that’s the second spot that was considered for a stadium.

Is there enough room to build a 2nd/3rd tier down the road as Winnipeg grows. That road would have to be re-routed but that's no big obstacle.

You mean the parking lots and practically no towers built after 2000?

For me it’s mostly the baseball stadium downtown.

The amount of pre-war buildings over 10 stories and the freeway close to the downtown contribute to that look too.

Today and tomorrow is the Doors Open Toronto event.....today I headed to and waited for a tour to the 54th floor of the original TD tower. The views are astounding, here are some I took:
